Class 34(2) A portable grain drying apparatus has, mounted on a vehicle, a container 8 with a perforate false bottom 16, an imperforate bottom 9, end walls 12, 13 and side walls 10, 11 forming a heating chamber C supplied by a fan 36 with combustion products from a cylindrical furnace 52 having oil fuel burners 41, 42. The grain is charged into the container from a harvesting machine and when dry is removed through a pivoted end gate by a scoop 24 operated by cables 23 attached thereto and falling over sprockets 20, 21 rotated by a crank 22.
