Abstract
783,114. Drying cabinets. SEMAN, O. M. Feb. 14, 1956 [March 4, 1955, Aug. 8, 1955, Nov. 28, 1955], Nos. 6515/55, 22836/55, and 33979/55. Class 34(1) Domestic apparatus for drying clothes, crockery, &c. comprises an air-tight cabinet having a lid 2, Fig. 1, resting on a rubber seal, centrally-apertured upper and lower partitions 6, 8 respectively defining a space for the clothes &c., and an electrically-driven air pump 12 and an electric heater 13 disposed in a base compartment. In use the pump draws air through the heater and the pipe 15 to the space above the partition 6 and thence through the drying space, finally discharging the moisture-laden air through the pipe 16 to the atmosphere. In a modification, the clothes may be supported upon hollow rails 21, Fig. 2, having outlet slots on their undersides and connected to tubing 15 through which air from the heater 13 is drawn by the pump 12. A spinner or tumbler may be provided in the cabinet.
