Class 34(1) A drying apparatus for cloths &c. comprises an enclosed cabinet 1 divided into upper and lower parts 3, 4 by a horizontal partition 5 and having one side wall 8 of hollow construction and adapted to be folded down to a horizontal position; the part 4 including a heater and fan, with or without an air filter, arranged to deliver heated air through an opening 13 in a false bottom 11 and through an opening 12 in the normally lower open edge of the wall 8, into the wall, the space in the angle between the lowered wall 8 and the cabinet constituting a drying space receiving the heated air from slots 10 in the inner wall 9 of the side wall 8, collapsible supporting means 14, 15, 16 and 17 being provided for such space, on which articles to be dried are draped, and a p.v.c. or like foldable canopy (not shown) being provided to enclose the drying space. The air is extracted through the upper compartment 3 which is provided with a door 6. Hollow perforated partitions are erectable on the slots 10 to diffuse the heating air as described with reference to (Fig. 4, not shown). The hollow partitions, the p.v.c. hood and the support means are storable in the upper compartment when the apparatus is not in use. The parts 16, 17 are pulled out from the extensions 15 of the part 14 hinged to the cabinet, which part and extensions are receivable in a recess in the wall 8 adjacent the inner wall 9. The bottom of the cabinet is provided with four castors and a handle on the hollow side wall serves as an additional castor when the wall is folded down.
