Abstract

782,575. Counting-apparatus. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - GES. Aug. 27, 1954 [Sept. 10, 1953], No. 24982/54. Class 106 (1). Two counters A21,A22, Fig. 1, can be selectively connected via a selector switch A53 to pairs of contact devices A41-A46 which are individually associated with separate rotary members. The two selected contact devices send impulses corresponding in number to the speeds of their associated rotary members, to the counters A21, A22. In the supply circuits of the counters is a normally closed switch a23 of a relay A23 and a switch A51 which is closed during operation of the counters. When the counter A21 reaches a predetermined number, say one hundred, the switch A211 is closed to energize the relay A23 which opens its switch a23 and so disconnects the supply from the counters. An indication is thereby given of the percentage ratio of the speeds of the two rotary members. Closure of a normally open switch A52 at any time results in energization of the relay A23 and consequent interruption of the counting. More than two associated counters may be provided. A lamp Z9 indicates that the main switch Z5 is closed and a lamp A9 indicates operation of the counters.
