Abstract
<PICT:0779826/III/1> <PICT:0779826/III/2> <PICT:0779826/III/3> Apparatus for effecting chemical reactions by bringing a gas into contact with a fluidized granular material is shown in Figs. 8 to 10. In Fig. 8, a feed tube 27 and discharge conduit 28 are provided for low velocity gas flow. For medium velocity gas flow an inlet 34 and outlet 37 are provided in the apparatus shown in Fig. 9. Apparatus having a gas inlet 41 and outlet 42 is shown in Fig. 10 for bringing a very high velocity gas into contact with fluidized granular material.
