[Also in Group XXXVII] A cable terminal allowing cable entry from the front or back of a switch or other device, such as the switch of Specification 779,624, [Group XXXVII], comprises a metal strip bent into square or rectangular shape and apertured at b<SP>5</SP> for side entry and at b<SP>6</SP> for back entry, the cable in each case being secured by a screw D and V-, or channel-section, clamp d. The terminal B is shown in a recess a at one end of a switch casing A, the recess a being closed by an L-shaped cover E of rubber or other resilient material which may be a pressfit but, as shown, is slid into grooves a<SP>1</SP> in the recess-walls and locked by a plug e<SP>1</SP> engaging a recess a<SP>2</SP>. The cover is also slotted at e<SP>3</SP> to pass a side-entry cable, and has a projection e<SP>2</SP> to assist in removal.
