In delta-wing aircraft having an unbraced fuselage each main load-carrying spar 3 of the wings extends in a plane at right angles to the fore-and-aft axis of the aircraft and is connected to the corresponding spar of the other wing through a frame in the form of a ring or other closed figure extending across both the top and the bottom of the fuselage, characterized in that the frame is formed in two or three sections 1, 2 or 8, 9, 10, Fig. 4, the two wing spars being secured to different frame sections, 1 and 2 or 8 and 9. The wing spars may be integral with their respective frame sections and port and starboard spars may be identical.
