Abstract

774,522. Load handling machines. WINGET, Ltd. Dec. 17, 1954 [Nov. 27, 1953], No. 33044/53. Class 78 (3). [Also in Group XVIII] In a batch-weigher, a single skip or a pair of skips are mounted with associated weigh-beams on pairs of cantilevers pivoted to a vertical support for rotating from a loading to a discharge position. The horizontal pairs of unequal links 5, 7 and 6, 8, are pivoted at 3, 4 to a support 1, and carry the three-sided frames 10, 13, through pivots 16, 17, 18, 19. The frame 10 has side members 11, 12 and carries an inner three-sided frame 25, 20, 24 on knife-edge bearings 30. The inner frame carries a skip 33 on similar bearings 32, and acts . as a lever to operate the skip weighing mechanism 34 carried on the rear member of frame 10. The skips 33 and 33a can be moved to a discharge position, shown dotted in the upper part of the Figure, or to supplementary loading positions, shown dotted for skip 33a in the lower part of the Figure. The web of the J-shaped links is shaped to prevent touching of the skips. In modifications, the apparatus has two skips with equal links, or a single skip with equal links.
