774,254. Cutting apparatus. JAGENBERGWERKE AKT.-GES. July 19, 1955 [July 21, 1954], No. 20849/55. Class 31 (1). Apparatus comprising an inclined rotary cutter 7 co-operating with a fixed cutter 5 for securing a web 1 of paper, card or the like into sheets has a guide roller 11 in advance of the knives for vertically deflecting the material at one side edge of the web relatively to the other side edge to ensure that a rectilinear cut perpendicular to the length of the web is obtained. The shaft 13 of the roller 11 is mounted at its ends in bearings one of which is vertically adjustable.
