Yarn-feeding rollers 16 are driven from shaft 8 carrying needle dial 9, through gears 10 fast on the shaft and meshing with gears 11, interchangeably keyed to a countershaft 12a by a slidable mandrel 12 and spring-controlled key, gears 13, 14, and a toothed disc 15 freely rotatable on shaft 8. The needle cylinder and dial are driven through shaft 4 bearing pinions meshing with a toothed rim 2 on the needle cylinder and a gear 7 keyed to shaft 8. The closed housing 6 provides an oil bath.
