772,544. Reciprocating electric motors. UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 19, 1954], No. 24116/54. Class 35. A device for producing pulses in a fluid pipeline 10 comprises a plunger 13 permanently magnetized or polarized by a coil 11 and reciprocating in a chamber 12 between magnetic end-pieces 14, 15 which are alternately polarized by A.C. coils 19 on yokes 18. Accord. ing to the Provisional Specification, the device may be used as a liquid pump by inserting a non-return valve in the pipe-line 10.
