Abstract

772,015. Window and ventilator operating mechanism. COLT VENTILATION, Ltd. June 2, 1955 [June 3. 1954], No. 16504/54. Classes 20(3) and 137. Pulley mechanism for opening and closing windows, ventilators, &c., comprises a shaft B which is journalled in a bearing member D secured to the fixed window, or ventilator, frame and has a worm A at one end which co-operates with a toothed link member C connected to the movable window, or ventilator. A pulley E, screwed at S, to the other end of the shaft is driven by means of a cord, or cable, F. A plate N, rotatably mounted on the bearing member D, carries a cup member K which encloses the pulley E and has grummetted openings J in a flat base portion for the passage therethrough of the cord, or cable, F. The latter is also guided between a pair of parallel rollers G which are mounted on pins M extending between two lugs L depending from either side of the flat base portion of the cup member K. The shaft B may be rotated by turning the screw S which is accessible through a corresponding opening in the cup member K
