[Also in Group XXVIII] A vertical spindle motor and compressor unit is mounted in a casing by two cylindrical or conical springs above and below the unit and coaxial with the motor shaft, the springs which are of opposite hand being secured at their ends to the unit and to the casing, and the lower spring is of greater strength than the upper spring. As shown, the springs 7, 7a extend into recesses 9 formed in members 10, 11 secured to the motor and compressor.
