Class 59 In a waste food disposer comprising a housing 3 having adjacent the bottom thereof a stationary ring 12 provided with shredding elements 13 co-operable with one or more rotary impeller elements 19, the housing is formed of, or lined with, natural rubber or elastomeric material. The ring 12 is mounted in an annular recess in the housing 3. The upper end of the housing has formed thereon a flange 4 which is clamped between rings 6, 7 through which pass bolts 8 abutting against a clamping ring 9.
