769,753. Ammunition cartridges. KUPAG KUNSTSTOFF - PATENT-VERWALTUNGS AKT.-GES. April 28, 1955, No. 12304/55. Class 9 (1). Cartridge case more particularly for use as blank ammunition has an outer tubular part 1 integral with the base and made of metal and enclosing a front piece 3 of a flexible, elastic material such as polyethylene or polyvinylchloride. The front piece 3 is closed at its forward end, which may be weakened by score lines 4, and its inner open end is so related to the base of the case that, onfiring the cartridge, it is subject to no axial pressure. The inner end may be slightly bent as in the Figure or may be let into the metal wall.
