Class 56 A low temperature (850-1100‹F.) fused enamel undercoating for bonding to ferrous metal. alloys with a coefficient of linear expansion below 14x10<SP>-6</SP> comprises (mols per cent) Na 2 O 13.9-17.3; K 2 O 0.4-3.0; B 2 O 3 7.5-13.1; SiO 2 33.4-38.7; CaO 1.0-15.6 and one or more of the following up to the mols per cent stated:-LiO 2 6.0; TiO 2 4.2; PbO 14.0; Mg 13.5; BaO 5.2; Al 2 O 3 0.6; CuO 3.2; NiO 1.6; Co 3 O 4 0.2; ZrO 3.0; P 2 O 3 0.5 and F 2 8.3.
