Abstract
767,626. Reciprocating pumps; piston extrusion apparatus. STAMICARBON N. V. Nov. 1, 1954 [Nov. 2, 1953], No. 31538/54. Classes 102(1) and 102(2). [Also in Group X] A reciprocating pump, Fig. 4, for supplying pressure fluid to an apparatus for pre-loading pit props (see Group X), comprises a plunger 28 which can be reciprocated in a compartment 24<SP>1</SP> by means of a lever 30 pivoted at 29, to draw the fluid through a suction valve 32 from a reservoir 33 and to deliver the fluid through a pressure valve into a conduit 35 which leads to the pre-loading apparatus. In another embodiment the fluid which operates the pre-loading apparatus is supplied from a device wherein, firstly a plunger 25, Fig. 3b, is screwed into a casing 26 to displace fluid therefrom for initially setting the pre-loading apparatus and secondly a small diameter plunger 27 is screwed in within the plunger 25 to displace fluid at a high pressure to pre-load the prop.
