766,517. Thread tensioning devices. VEB SPINN-UND ZWIRNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT. March 9, 1955, No. 6949/55. Class 120 (2). A thread tensioning device for use in winding frames comprises a casing 1, a bolt 2 anchored in the casing 1 and having rotatably mounted thereon two discs 3 and 4, a control knob 5 rotatably mounted in the casing 1 and provided with inclined recess 6 which has parallel flanks, and a hemispherical base and a ball 11 movable within the recess, the arrangements being such that the ball bears against one of the discs with a pressure which is adjustable by turning the control knob 5. A scale may be provided which is calibrated in accordance with the turning of the knob and thus indicates the tension on the yarn passing between the two discs 3 and 4.
