766,383. Mounting vehicle windows. MORRIS MOTORS, Ltd. Sept. 29, 1955 [Sept. 1, 1954], No. 25362/54. Class 20(3) A rubber glazing strip 1 for mounting the curved glass pane 13 of a wrap-round type front, or rear, vehicle window has a channel 2 for tightly gripping the edge of the pane 13, curved flaps 3 and 15, and a slit 11 formed in the base to receive the turned up edge 10 of a flexible anchoring strip 4. The latter is notched transversely at 5, 6, and 7 throughout its length so that it can be bent round the corners of the window opening and to provide alternate. short and long elements 8 and 9 respectively. When the assembly, i.e. the pane 13'fitted with strips 1 and 4, is pushed home into the window surround, with the strips 4 located between the base of the glazing strip 1 and part 12 of the window surround, the longer elements 9 are bent over a retaining flange 14, the flap 3, concealing the elements 9 and the flange 14, as shown, having previously been moved aside locally to facilitate the bending of the elements 9. The flap 15 affords a seal with the adjoining part 16 of the panelling of the vehicle, a sealing compound being applied under the lip 15 to render the joint watertight. The abutting ends of the strip 4 may be held together by a clip, not shown
