Abstract

764,817. Centrifugal separators. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP BRONSWERK. March 24, 1955 [April 9, 1954], No. 8570/55. Class 23 A dust separator comprises a casing 1, a rotor 3 having an apertured periphery within the casing, a tangential inlet 2 at one end of the casing, and a tangential dust outlet 9 at the other end of the casing. The rotor 3 is integral with a fan 4 mounted in a chamber 5 from which the clean air is discharged through a tangential outlet 6. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the separator is arranged so that the rotor axis is vertical and the fan is below the rotor.
