Abstract

764,373. Bracelets. FISCHER, J. and BERGMANN, M. [trading as. FISCHER KOMM.-GES., A.]. Feb. 9, 1955, No. 3846/55. Class 43. An expansible bracelet or linkstrap comprises a series of box-like links a, Fig..2, with flat intermediate connecting links b projecting through rectangular slots in the longitudinal side walls of adjacent box-like links and pivotally connected at their ends n to lugs m provided near the end of the longitudinal side wall opposite that through which the respective flat intermediate link projects, retraction springs q disposed within the boxlike links being connected between the two adjacent flat links associated with each boxlike link. As shown in Fig. 2 the springs q are tensioned between hooks p formed by bending tongues stamped integrally with the flat links b, near to their respective pivots m. The box-like links each comprise a bottom shell c and a closely fitting cover shell g with end walls provided with extensions which are bent beneath the bottom shell c. Fig. 4 shows a modification wherein the retracting springs are formed with a straight middle portion s and coils t which are located in diagonally opposite corners of the box-like link a, the free ends u of each coil being extended towards the middle of the box-like link a to engage behind abutment lugs r struck up from opposite edges of the associated flat-link b.
