An expansible link-band or bracelet comprises a plurality of box-like links each consisting of a cover, Fig. 1, and a bottom, Fig. 5, one side 4 of the cover being provided with a pair of holes 2 disposed transversely to the longitudinal axis of the link-band to receive the arms 11, Fig. 3, of a U-shaped connecting member which are inserted therethrough and interengaged with the offset ends 10, Fig. 4, of a torsion spring 14 located within the cover member, the transverse part 12 of each U- shaped member being hinged beneath an arched portion 1 formed on the transverse wall 4 of the adjacent box-like link. Instead of providing the arched portion 1 a second pair of holes similar to the holes 2 may be provided and the arms 11 of the U-shaped connecting member pushed therethrough from inside the casing. The bottom plate, (shown inverted in Fig. 5) is provided with upwardly-bent parts 5 on its two longer sides, one part being arranged as an abutment for the coil 14 of the spring, and the other part serving as guiding means for the arms 11 of the U-shaped connecting members. Fig. 6 shows part of a contracted bracelet without the bottom plates. The bottom plates are secured in position by registering them between the side edges 4 of the box-like covers and bending the said edges downwardly into recesses 7 along the edges of the bottom plates.
