Class 43 An expanding bracelet comprises hollow open-ended main links 1, each one having a curved lug 31 engaging in a recess 3<SP>11</SP> in the end, of the adjacent link and connected to an open ended intermediate link B by a hinge pin 4, a tension spring 8 extending through the links and secured to the pins 4, and removable end links each having an independent spring 14 abutting a closed end 13 of each intermediate link B<SP>1</SP> and a spring abutment 9 removably secured by a screw secured to the link 1<SP>1</SP> and passing through the open bottom of the intermediate link. The bottom of the intermediate link B<SP>1</SP> may have a central slot with an aperture at one end for the spring abutment which rests on a collar. The link B has a nose 6 which engages in a slot 7 and the link 1. Alternatively the intermediate link B<SP>11</SP>, Fig. 7, has a bottom wall 16 on which rests a spring strip 17, one end of which engages the end 20 of the link 1 and the other hooked end engages the free end of the spring the other end of which abuts an end wall 18 of the link B<SP>11</SP>. An aperture 21 in the link B<SP>11</SP> aids assembling the links. The intermediate link B<SP>111</SP>, Fig. 9, may have one end shaped as a hook 24, which engages in a slot in the end of the next main link. The ends of the tension spring 14 abut the end walls 1<SP>11</SP>, 23 of the links 1 and B<SP>111</SP>. The bottom wall of the link B<SP>111</SP> extends as far as the length of the contracted spring and projects in the form of a fork 26<SP>1</SP>, beyond the wall 23. The fork engages below the hammer-head 24<SP>1</SP> of the hook when the links are contracted. The links 1, 1<SP>1</SP> are enclosed by an ornamental shell 2.
