Abstract
763,938. Roller conveyers. SCHLOEMANN AKT.-GES. Dec. 15, 1954 [Dec. 18, 1953], No. 36272/54. Class 78 (1). Sheets are withdrawn from the discharge table 4 of a rolling mill by rollers 5 and delivered on to rollers 13. When these rollers 13 are moved apart, the sheets fall on to a grid 7 which can be raised and lowered. In the upper position the top of the grid is in the same plane as the remainder of the cooling bed 21 and the sheets are transferred singly thereto by the transverse conveyer 19. When it is desired to stack the sheets, the grid 7 is lowered until its upper face is just above the plane of conveyance of the rollers 18. When the stack is complete, the grid is lowered until the bottom of the stack rests on the rollers 18. These rollers are then set in operation and the stack is conveyed away by them and the rollers 24. Specification 759,664 is referred to.
