1432412 Reciprocating conveyers L DANIELI 4 May 1973 [4 May 1972] 21383/73 Heading B8A Billets from a continuous casting plant and rolling mill are fed to independent conveyer lines Ia, IIa having sets of pivotable arms 3, 4 actuated by pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders (not shown). A table B has a pivotable element 5 and above the table there is a reciprocating conveyer having depending pusher members 8. When the arms 3, 4 are raised, billets 1, 2 are transferred to positions 1<SP>1</SP>, 2<SP>1</SP> on the table, from where they are pushed by the members 8, for discharge at 7. The lifting of the arm 4 raises the element 5 and enables the billet 2 to be passed through the gap left in the table by the element.
