Abstract
1385667 Conveyers MOELLER & NEUMANN GmbH 10 July 1973 [13 July 1972] 32763/73 Heading B8A For feeding circular-section metal bars 12 or I-section metal stock 14 to a cooling bed B, two groups of raisable and lowerable supports 2, 3 are provided. When the bars 12 are fed by rollers 1, the supports 3 are held in their raised position and the supports 2 are raised and lowered. A bar 12 is thus transferred from position 12<SP>1</SP> to position 12<SP>11</SP> from which, after alignment on a stationary channel 4, it is moved by a moving beam unit 6 of the bed B into the first recess of a fixed unit 5 of the bed. When a stock member 14 is to be conveyed, the upper surfaces of the supports 2, 3 are maintained in alignment and are raised and lowered in synchronism. The supports 2, 3 are actuated by lever means 7-10.
