Abstract

763,486. Making press moulds. BAKELITE, Ltd. March 16, 1955 [March 17, 1954], No. 7806/54. Class 83 (2). [Also in Group V] A press tool particularly for drawing sheets of metal or plastics comprising relatively slidable parts, e.g. 11, 13, as shown in Fig. 1, is made by forming a composite tool consisting of both parts, drilling holes 19 in the tool, separating the two parts by, e.g., sawing along the periphery 23 of the parts, and. inserting guide-pins in the holes for aligning the separate parts. The guide-pins are secured by screws 24. The tool may be made of metal by a die-sinking machine or of a synthetic resin (see Group V). The punch 11 and clamping ring 13 work against a female die 12 and ejector plate 15.
