Abstract

761,065. Reservoir brushes and pads CUSHMAN & DENISON CO., Ltd. July 13, 1954 [July 21, 1953]. No. 20208/53. Class 19. [Also in Group XV] A marking element comprises a tuft of bristles 14 retained within a sleeve 17 also housing a portion of a cylindrical plug 18 of felt having a projecting portion 18b of greater diameter which can slide in a bore 13 of a writing instrument. The bristles 14 are arranged around a copper pipe 15 which permits ink to pass from a reservoir 10 to the bristles when a valve 11 is open. The plug 18 is preferably of permeable material, e.g. felt, but may be impermeable and provided with ink passages. Specification 740,802 [Group XV] is referred to.
