760,808. Tine or platform extensions for fork, pallet or stillage trucks. SHARP, J. R., and KAYE, E. Nov. 4, 1954 [Aug. 4, 1953], No. 21501/53. Classes 78 (3) and 78 (4). A tine or platform extension member for a fork, pallet or stillage truck or other elevating platform vehicles has an upper surface which lies flush with the tine or platform. In Fig. 1, a channel section extension member 14 is provided with a projection 17 engaging a groove 12 in a tine 10 and has a cross-piece 15 which engages beneath the tine. The sides of the tine may be recessed to accommodate the side flanges 19 of the member 14. Fig. 4 illustrates an embodiment in which a box form member 14 abouts against the end of tine 10 and is provided with a cross-bar 20 and a plate 15 which engage the tine. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 5, the member 14 engages the tine by means of cross-bars 20 22 and a plate 30.
