Abstract

760,326. Two-part couplings. YOUNG, S. G. Aug. 4, 1954 [May 4, 1953], No. 12342/53. Class 38 (1). A contact pin 1 having a slit 2 is mounted in an insulating base 3 by pressing the two limbs together, inserting them into a hole in the base and then either releasing them so that they spring apart, or screwing a screw 7 into a tapped hole in the end of the pin to force them apart. The pin is retained by interengaging ribs and recesses 4, 5, 6 on the pin and base. A lead 8 is clamped in an aperture 9 in the pin by the screw 7, or alternatively may either be wound round the pin or passed through the slit 2 in the pin and clamped in either case between the base and a nut screwing on the pin.
