758,928. Photographic developing apparatus. NIG MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Sept. 1, 1954 [Sept. 1, 1953], No. 24201/53. Class 98 (2). An apparatus for developing exposed photographic material, particularly diazotype papers, comprises driven rollers 1 and 2 dipping into developing solution in troughs 4 and 5, and a third roller 6 in rolling contact with roller 2 but in adjustable spaced relation with'roller 1 so that it receives developer from the latter by capillary action. The exposed sheet 14 is passed, with the aid of guide 16 between rollers 2 and 6, and is thus wetted on both sides. Roller 6 is adjusted by a screwed rod 7 working in fixed nuts 10 and 11, the end 8 of the rod bearing on the extension 9 on the roller 6. Excess liquid is prevented from running down the topside of the sheet 14 by the extended edge 13, which also has an external recess 15 provided with holes at the bottom to return to the trough 4 any liquid running down the outside of edge 13.
