[Also in Group XXIII] A tractor-mounted implement, of the type, having moving parts power-driven from the tractor, is characterized in that the drive comprises a rotary hydraulic motor 15 on the implement connected by conduits 17, 18 to a hydraulic pump on the tractor. As shown, the implement comprises a front-mounted mower 1 carried by standards 8 pivoted to parallel links 3, 10 on the tractor. The upper link 3 is a bellcrank and is connected to a threaded rod 5 by rotation of which the ground-clearance of the cutter-bar can be varied. The upper pivot 11 includes a slot 12 allowing break-back of the mower on meeting obstructions. A spring 14 attached diagonally between the links 3, 10 assists in raising the cutter bar. According to 'the Provisional Specification, the invention may also be applied to stationary appliances such as saw-benches.
