A one-piece collar or double cuff for a shirt or blouse comprises a stiffening layer of fabric between two layers of the shirting or blouse material, the stiffening layer being in one or more pieces extending substantially throughout the whole area of the collar &c. and providing one or more slots, a series of perforations or a complete gap so as to constitute a line of weakness for a precision fold-line. The three layers may be secured together by bonding, adhesion or by fusion.
