A resilient rail-spike comprises a pair of legs 1, 1<SP>1</SP> joined by a transverse portion 2 through resilient upwardly-arcuate portions 3, 31 which extend laterally in the same direction with respect to each of the legs and are inclined to a vertical plane perpendicular to a vertical plane passing through the legs. The transverse portion 2 may be straight or upwardly or downwardly curved. The legs may be pointed (leg 1), or provided with one or more circumferential grooves (leg 1<SP>1</SP>).
