Abstract
757,590. Hearing aids. ZAPELLONI, F. Jan. 23, 1953 [Jan. 25, 1952], No. 1964/53. Class 40 (4). All the electrical components of a hearing aid are housed in a side-piece of a spectacle frame. The receiver may operate either by bone conduction or by air conduction. Both side-pieces may be equipped with separate hearing aids. A bone conduction receiver 7, Fig. 1, is fitted at the end of a side-piece 3 the end being enlarged to house also a thermionic amplifier. The amplifier is controlled by switches 17, 18. A battery 12 is slipped through an opening 13 into the straight part of the side-piece and a microphone 6 is housed at the front end. The hinges 4 are provided with springs to press the receiver against the head. An air conduction receiver is coupled to the ear by a tube 10 and a plug 11, Fig. 2.
