756,259. Rolling. MASCHINENFABRIK SACK GES. July 7, 1954 [Feb. 11, 1954], No. 19913/54. Class 83 (4). In a rolling mill for rolling thin profile sections such as I-beams, the work is passed successively through two or more universal rolling stands 5, 6 and 8, 9, each followed by edge mills 7, 10 and continuously rotated in one direction, the work being carried transversely from one rolling train to the next by means of conveyers 11, 12 so that it completes a circuit. A blank is first passed through a preliminary rolling stand 1 to shears 2 and is carried by a conveyer 3 to a furnace 4. After passing through the stands until the required reduction is obtained, the worked is passed to a universal finishing stand 13.
