In a method of rolling wire 7, Fig. 1, successive passes comprise three rolls 1 having cylindrical work-engaging surfaces 5. Subsequent passes have the rolls displaced angularly about the work by half the angle between adjacent rolls. The final pass forms the work to the required section.
