Abstract

756,124. Retractive switches. BOSCH GES., R. Sept. 30, 1954 [Oct. 1, 1953], No. 28167/54. Addition to 724,940 [Group XI]. Class 38(5) [Also in Group XI] A switch in the electrical heating circuit of a bimetal strip operated for changing the inclination of a vehicle head lamp beam (see Group XI) when the mechanical load on the vehicle changes, comprises two mutually insulated contact members 72, 73 secured to the chassis parts 67 supported by a spring 66 on the rear wheel axle 65 and a contact bridge 71 supported by a spring 74 tending to raise the bridge from the members 72, 73 and connected to a butt strap 77 secured to the axle 65 by a draw member 75 and draw spring 76, the springs 74, 76 being so adjusted that the bridge 71 does not connect the contacts 72, 73 while the vehicle is normally loaded but when the load is reduced, contacts 72, 73 are raised and are connected by the bridge 71
