Abstract

755,862. Saw-tooth generating circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Jan. 1, 1954 [Feb. 11, 1953], No. 45/54. Addition to 733,495. Class 40 (6). The invention relates to saw-toot current generators of the type in which the deflection coils L are connected in series with a source of supply UB and in parallel with a damping diode D and in which the primary winding of a transformer SP is connected in series with the source of supply and the coils whereby the intermittent current in the secondary winding of the transformer resulting from the intermittent primary current may be rectified and used to supplement the main supply. According to one aspect of the invention the supplementary current charges the conventional boost condenser and the main supply source (Fig. 3). According to another aspect, the circuit is arranged such that the damping diode and the rectifier may have a common cathode (Fig. 2).
