755,666. Moulding chocolate. SOC. ANON. MACCHINE INDUSTRIA DOLCIARIA CARLE & MONTANARI. April 1. 1954, No. 9554/54. Class 87(2) A chocolate moulding machine for the production of chocolate shells to be filled with cream or fondant, has moulds 3 carried by an andless chain 4, which, after being filled with chocolate are inverted to drain out the chocolate and leave only a shell and then re-inverted to the position in Fig. 2 where a roller 6, pressed against the mould tops by springs 12, 13 (Fig. 3), removes surplus chocolate which is then scraped from the roller by a blade 9 into a pan 10 which is heated by heater 20, whence it is conveyed away by screw 11. Two universal joints 15, 16 on rollerdriving shaft 14 allow the roller 6 to oscillate according to the level of moulds 3. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown). two rollers are used connected by a belt which removes the chocolate.
