697,020. Chocolate &c. moulding machines. AKTIESELSKABET TOMS LABORATORIUM. Sept. 13, 1950 [Sept. 14, 1949], No. 22546/50. Class 87 (ii). Chocolate is fed from a pourer 4 into moulds 2 on a conveyer band 1. The tops of the moulds are cleaned and excess chocolate is removed from the moulded mass by an endless steel band 5. Chocolate is removed from the band by a scraper 16 and falls into a funnel 15. The band is mounted on a frame which is pivotally mounted about a shaft 10 and has an adjustable counterweight 13. The velocity of the band is such that its longitudinal component is equal to or greater than the velocity of the conveyer band. When the band is to be used only for cleaning the moulds, the angle between the plane of the strickling edge of the band and the plane of the mould surfaces may be greater than 90 degrees. This may be effected by running the mould carrying conveyer in reverse or by bringing the front length of the strickling band into contact with the mould. Specification 576,069 is referred to.
