To permit adjustment of the overall step-down ratio of a voltage transformation device comprising a capacity potential divider 1 feeding a transformer 5, two or more regulating windings, such as 8-10, are provided on the transformer and may be connected, separately or together, between the end of the primary winding 6 and earth. The regulating windings are preferably screened from the primary winding, have a turns-ratio of three and have their ends brought out to a connection board so that any regulating winding may be connected so as to buck or boost the primary winding.
