Abstract

755,163. Stud -- and - socket fastenings. BAUMANN GES., R. July 22, 1954 [Nov. 23, 1953], No. 21483/54. Class 44. A fastening device for releasably connecting together parts 6, 7 of a tent, camouflage net or the like comprising co-operating elements 8, 10, one of which 8 carries a series of spaced apart rings 9 and the other of which 10 has a corresponding series of eyelets 12 so that the elements can be joined together by passing the rings of one element through the eyelets of the other, the rings being held in position by resilient push toggles 2 secured at suitable distances along a ripcord 1. The ripcord is a wire or hemp rope and the toggles are made of resilient wire. They are pivotally connected to the rope by wire loops 4 and clamps 3. The eyelets 12 are fastened to the element 10 by a sewn strip 11. The distances between the toggles and the ripcord can be the same as or slightly greater than the distances between the rings or eyelets.
