Class 68(1) In a mineral-mining machine uncontrolled over-run of an implement 25, e.g., a jib or winch, driven by a reversible, hydraulically-artuated motor 23, 24 is prevented, when load is removed from the implement, by an hydraulic interlocking device 22 inserted in the supply and exhaust pipe lines 8-11 between a reversing valve 21. and Ehe motor 23, 24. The device automatically closes the exhaust line on loss of pressure in the supply line, and comprises a, chest 1. spring-biased valves 2, 3, valve-opening plungers 6, 7 and passage ways 12, 13 interconnecting the chambers containing the valves and plungers. When liquid under pressure is supplied to the chest 1 by the pipe 8 it acts directly on the valve 2 and indirectly on the valve 3 through the passage 13 and plunger 7 to cause them to lift off the valve seats and permit flow of liquid through the supply and exhaust lines. The reverse actuation occurs when liquid under pressure is supplied to the chest 1 by pipe 9. Loss of pressure in the supply pipe 8, 10 results in the valve 3 closing the exhaust line 11, 9 and vice versa.
