Abstract
753,009. Reinforced concrete. MARSDEN, A. Oct. 29, 1953, No. 37588/54. Divided out of 752,874. Class 20(4). In a lattice reinforcement, bent strips, connected together to form a honeycomb structure, differ in depth at their abutting faces so that the edge of only one of each pair of abutting faces lies in the surface. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the strips are bent into lengths 1, each alternate length having faces 5A shallower than the corresponding faces 5B of the adjacent lengths. In the form shown in Fig. 7, each strip is bent into a regular hexagon having three sides of reduced depth. Holes 6 are provided for split pins 7 and holes 8 key the concrete or like to the reinforcement. When the reinforcement is used for lining a pipe or, for any other reason it faces downwards, the strips are preferably provided with slots 24 for additional keying.
