752,515. Broaches.LAPOINTE MACHINE TOOL CO., Ltd. (Lapointe Machine Tool Co.). June 29, 1954, No. 19079/54. Class 83 (3). A broach comprises a longitudinally-grooved bar 10 to receive broaching members 22, a pair of complementary sizing-members 30, 31 mounted in the groove and having cutting- teeth on one side only, and holding means 45 for engaging one sizing-member on the surface which is remote from its cutting-teeth. The pilot-tooth section 20, cutting-teeth 22, and chamfering, finishing and topping-teeth 24, 25 for cutting fir-tree slots, are as described in Specification 664,315. When the finishing teeth are worn below size the sizing-teeth 30, 31 are fitted. When these teeth, in turn, are worn, the face 60 of the member 30 is ground and a shim 62 inserted beside the member 31 so that the teeth, when clamped by the wedges 45, are offset to cut to correct size.
