Abstract

751,552. Cable couplings. PETRI, W., [trading as PETRI KOMM.-GES., W.]. June 22, 1954 [June 24, 1953], No. 18326/54. Class 38(1). In a branch connector for tapping an insulated conductor 3 and of the type wherein the conductor is secured in a groove 2 in the terminal body 1 by a screw 8, the free end 9 of screw 8 is formed as a milling cutter so as to cut through the insulator 4 and contact the conductor. To improve the contact, the end of the screw may be formed of softer metal than the conductor. The branch cable 6 is secured in a bore 5 in body 1 by screws 7 or it may be attached to the screw 8 by a shoe clamped by the lock-nut 10.
