Abstract

751,406. Gas radiators. FAURE & CIE. April 15, 1954 [Sept. 24, 1953], No. 11196/54. Class 126. A gas radiator comprises in combination a bottle of gas 2, a burner 4 and a radiant, all mounted in a shell 3 on a carriage 1 and forming a mobile gas heated radiator with its own supply. In order to replace the bottle 2, which contains liquified gas such as butane or propane, the shell 3, which is normally held to the carriage 1 by a stirrup 12, is removed but in a modification the structure is such that the bottle may be replaced from above the carriage and shell being rigid with one another or integral. A pivoted cover 8 at the top of the shell provides access to the bottle closure 9, the pressure regulating valve 10, the radiator valve 7 and a valve 17 which supplies a gas outlet 13. This latter outlet enables the bottle to supply gas to a cooker or other gas appliance. The carriage 1 comprises two rollers and a runner 14 in the form of a leaf spring.
