Abstract

1515631 Revaporizing gases COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE DE RAFFINAGE 30 Jan 1976 03815/76 Heading F4P Liquefied gas, e.g. butane, in a tank 1, is revaporized by a heater 5 acting on the liquid within a chamber defined by a partition 8 which provides communication at upper and lower parts between the chamber and the remainder of the tank, vaporized gas being removed via line 10. As shown, the partition 8 forms a flue having an open lower end 9 and apertures 11 at the upper end. In another embodiment, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) the partition 8 is a vertical planar sheet. The heater 5 may be electrical or, as shown, is a heating coil having hot water from a boiler 6 circulated therethrough by a pump 7. The boiler and pump are controlled by a pressure dependent device 13 which thus controls the gas pressure in the tank.
