Abstract
751,311. Wrist-watch straps. LANG, H. July 20, 1954 [July 27, 1953], No. 21080/54. Class 43. A device for fastening the end of a non- metallic strap looped over the connecting bar of a wrist watch comprises a base-plate 1 disposed beneath a turned-over end-piece 5 of the upper layer 2 of the strap 7 and at least one tongue 3 passing through the end-piece 5 and turned thereover to secure the plate thereto and at least one tongue 4, preferably hook-shaped, at right-angles to the tongue 3 and which after passing through the piece 5, e.g. at about 2 mm. in front of the fold crease, is bent to lie over the piece 5, as shown in Fig. 5, and, on formation of the loop, Fig. 5, is passed through a slit 6, Fig. 4, in the bottom layer 7 of the strap to effect the loop fastening. The head of the tongue 4 is anchor or arrow-head shaped to prevent it sliding out of the slit 6.
